New Orleans, 1st Day

So I flew to New Orleans from New Jersey after a night at Joel’s apartment in Jersey City. AND WOW! New Orleans is such a wild wild city! I thought Las Vegas was “Sin City,” but boy were they wrong! Hahaha, Las Vegas won’t even get close to how wild New Orleans can get!

A walk on the French Quarter’s Bourbon Street will bring you a trip to neverland filled with sex, drugs, and alcohol! Wow! And it isn’t even Mardi Gras!

For a plastic neon bead necklace, people on the street will strut their ass off, show off their boobs, do acts of lasciviousness, or show their genitals! People kiss you on the lips right then and there, smack your ass out of nowhere, and niggers mix with rednecks! And you don’t even have to get into any joint! Everything happens on the streets, alfresco!

Today was supposed to be the wild night. The photos are proof to how wild things get. I have other explicit photos but I can’t post them because facebook/tumblr might ban me forever!

More photos to come, but this time, we’ll probably stick to the PG13/GA attractions. Haha! Can’t wait for them beignets and chickoree coffee tomorrow!

I AM LOST

I just landed and I don’t know where to work or where to go. I hope things get better for me here.

I always liked New York because everyday feels like an adventure but that was when I had NY as a vacation spot. Now that it’s home, I feel lost and alone.

I arrived at the airport trying to juggle through with my camera/laptop bag that was (16kg), my suitcase (4kg) a balikbayan box (28kg), an extra long luggage (containing über heavy photo equipment, 31kg), and my extra large luggage (containing all of what’s left of my entire closet 29kg). I rode a yellow cab home, all alone. The taxi fare was $35 and I was broke. Good thing cabs here accept credit cards! Hah!

I wanted to take some photos but I was handling so many stuff alone. I occupied the entire elevator with my stuff and I had to jam the door open so I could finally load them in my home in Elmhurst.

Today marks the day I change my life and start pursuing my dreams. All the days I’ve lived leads to this day and I cannot fathom the excitement and fear I have for the days to come.

Thank you Ali, Alain, Jacques, Isabel, Shai, Joseph, Abby, and Marlise for seeing me off. I have cried many tears today admiring your kindness.
